The Story

DSC_9122_edited_edited_edited_edited.jpg

As a passionate educator, speaker and researcher, my hope is to create spaces that center equity, liberation and justice while working with teams, groups and organizations to critically question the world. As a Pakistani woman and settler on Turtle Island specifically the land of the Huron, Senecas and the Mississaugas of the Credit - my work actively centers anti-oppressive, anti-racist, anti-colonial, feminist and Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing. As an immigrant woman of color, I am passionate about challenging the status quo and working within an anti-oppressive and equitable framework.

I have the immense privilege of having worked in a variety of roles at McGill University, Humber College, McMaster University and the University of Toronto . My diverse experience working in education and community, hosting hundreds of speaking engagements and consulting has allowed me to hone my skills in bringing stories to life that allow us to collectively unpack, unlearn and critically examine.

A lifelong learner, I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) from McGill University, a Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Adult Education and Community Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). I am currently a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Student at OISE University of Toronto.

Looking forward to connecting!
